Title: Cleaning Sandstone with Pressure Washer
Post by: Richard iSparkle on September 12, 2014, 03:51:18 pm
Hi!

i have a nursery who want me to clean children's chalk drawings off the outside of their building.  it's sandstone so quite a soft stone.  is it likely to cause me problems if i use as light pressure as i can?  will even a fan jet eat thru the sand?

thanks

1.  Pre wet with water.
2.  Apply a High Alkaline cleaner diluted 4:1.
3.  Allow to dwell 15 minutes.
4.  Whip over it with a mono rotary fitted with a soft to medium brush.
5.  Then rinse and vacuum up.

Then offer to seal if you want to.  A lot less mess to clean up than PW and no damage

Won't a mono be a bit heavy on this building - mines only 40 kgs as well  ;) Most walls are vertical Kev  ;D
