We were cleaning an old place in the week with sash windows where the runners needed a good going over when Darren put his brush through a pane of glass.
Now not one to turn my back on something like that I told the people renting it. She was fine and said she'd speak to the fella who manages the property.
Anyway he got back to me yesterday with a quote to sort out the damage. The pane of glass is about 10" x 8" his quote was £175.00 incl V.A.T. :o :o
So I've just called a glass supplier based about 30 miles away that supply glass required for listed buildings - he quoted me 20 sheets. (Hand blown cylinder glass)
Looks like Darren's going for a drive when he gets back ;D

Sounds a bit steep to me. I broke a pain on a sash window a few years ago it was about 30" x 20" and cost £90 and it was 3 stories high.

£20 for the glass. Then pay for it fitting. Putty or beading. I would say £100 at least
