do i need to get a back wash kit for my merlin. thanks

 I have had merlin for 6 monyhs or more and have just read all paperwork,it does,nt say anywhere that it can be back washed .I have not heard of it being backwashed.But would also like to know if it can be.

the reason why i say it is i've seen on www.gapswater.co.uk theres a back wash system for it
