whats the best thing to bring back the luster on white upvc ive noticed when ive done the conny roofs although they look good they seem dull
-
Are you using any pre treatment?
-
tfr diluted it may be that i may not have waterd it down enough ?
-
I have always give a quick rinse in pure water as tap water always seems
To leave jobs dull.
Tbh unless you start using solvents, creams and buffing pads some plastic if old and neglected will always be dull.
This is why conny companies charge £600 and are there all day.
-
i normally only do roofs but ive been asked to do the whole conservatory its quite old i dont realy want to do it then the custy turn round and blame me for ruining the conny .having seen what the ribs of roof look like when clean

The pink stuff

We use TFR, and cream, but sometimes you get old cheap upvc frames that will not clean, the uv light does the damage.
-
We use tfr, then if still looking dull we give it a quick once over with Doktor Power from local asda store.
-
Over time that shiny polished look disappears as the plastic goes flat just like a painted surface once it's knackered it's knackered . Mike

Cant find the www address.
Basically for £600 we are talking up on the roof detailing with tooth brushes, internal gutters spotless, few caps re glued on, maybe some sealant replacement. Job will be 99% perfect.
I dont charge this. I am about £ 3 - £5 per panel. Average roof job for me is around £70.
For this they get roof, gutters cleaned external, fascia on roof and windows and frames. Take me around 90 mins (Pulling up to driving off)
I could charge more, but i really enjoy cleaning roofs :)

We Use PR -SP10
(Purple Rhino - Special Product No10)
We mix this with water in a trolley and waterfed pole brush it onto old UPVC frames - then rinse it off with Pure H20 and the frames come up fantastic!
It is something we have specially made and costs us £120.00 for 20 litres

on dull window frames i find if that on the first clean you just wipe ,using CIF cleaner on a damp wet rag ,then on the next 2 cleans just buff with scrim, they come up shiny. the passage of time between each clean is important. residue from the CIF takes weeks to work its way into the pvc . take a while to explain this to your customer ,its a long process ,oh yes, but nothing good comes in a hurry !
its similar to using an olive oil bath to soak old coins in,takes weeks to do its job
