Title: Those using the quick loc system
Post by: p1w1 on February 07, 2014, 02:03:13 pm
do you rate it , i'm beginning to like the idea of just having  a couple of goose-necks and interchangeable brushes in the van instead of 4-5 goose necks, plus with the indoor attachments from gardeners coming soon. Do people who use them rate them any good as i'm sure i read on here they would stick or the ball joint work loose or vey hard to change.

thanks

When they first come out they didn't work that well i have one in the van that is really tight even after sanding it down but the new ones work fine i'm sure they have changed some thing since they were first released.

They are very good but since the weather got colder they are really tight, they need sanding a little to make them a little looser getting on and off, but I would highly recommend them.

Not to worry now Gardiners don't do a 45 degree quick loc goose neck so won't be up grading

If you don't mind cutting your existing gooseneck you can convert it to a quickloc gooseneck

Cheers Lee, but would rather have it as one thing plus the bit to glue on is made of plastic...seems daft they don't sell them

the quick loc system is ace.easy to change brushes depending on the job, first cleans, conny roofs, etc.

although on fascia/soffit cleans i use a resi neck instead of the fixed goosenecks i normally use so i can change the angle to get right under the soffits. ;)

Paul

That is good to hear i am still using the my  first quick loc fitting resi neck and brush socket as they are near enough welded together never been able to get them unstuck  , So i have to take of brush socket and fit it to new brush

Might buy a new resi neck fitting then i might be able to interchange brushes as and when needed . Mike

Very sceptical when it came out, but they work really well no problems at all,

We use silicone grease to get a much smoother fit 😜

Only thing lacking is a straight extension piece (10 inches please)

I dont think Alex will mind me mentioning this but he has tweeked the quick loq to get it easier to come apart. I think new ones will hit Gardiner in due course

I agree with cold/warm weather etc.
