Title: Setting targets for 2014
Post by: H20cleaning on January 15, 2014, 10:57:48 pm
This will be my first year were i have properly set myself a target.

70 new customers or £700 worth of monthly work by december 2015.
This work will be just word of mouth and leaflets.
I have never canvassed (but one day hope i pluck up the courage)

I know most of you will be laughing at the thought of only 70new customers in a year, but im a single op with a small loads at the moment:)

If i hit this target i will be pushing £2200 a month at the age of 22  ;D

My plan is to start paying more off my mortgage and be mortgage free in 7 years time at the age of 52 that's the plan anyway.
Adam what happened with giving it up and working on the rigs with your brother, are you giving that a miss and gonna concentrate on building up your work load 👳👳👳

Yes I'm back now had a lil break before anyone jumps on the wagon pmsl !!!!

I hope by the age of 50 i will be mortgage free.
And the idea is still in my mind but when i see people i know working on rigs over christmas, and getting stuck on because of bad weather etc it makes me rethink.
Also companies aint willing to sign contracts now so i would only be contracting wich is dodgey business.
If i hit my target for this year i will never want to stop w/c £2200 a month at 22year old would be very good.

I agree with ya Adam, you may earn more money on the rig now but stick with window cleaning and you will be earning that money and maybe alot more in a few years. Yes at your age that's really good money and well done to you. I pay my son around £1600 a month could be more I'm not sure plus I give him some shares in the cash jobs we have so he does ok, he will take over the company when I give up. I'm thinking me and the wife can carry on with some of the cleaning jobs and he can pay us cash. You should think about sorting a lil pension out Adam as I did in my 20's and am so pleased I did. My brother in law said to do it and I said leave it out I'm only in my 20's but G how fast time flies so glad I did 👳👳👳

I will thats one of the things that worried me not paying into a pension.
Personally i would rather transfer the same amount of money into a savings account instead of pension and possibly buying a house in thefuture and rent it? Then that could be my pension.

Good to have plans mate.. keeps you focused and motivated to achieve them..

an extra £700 p/month by dec this year... look at like this

That's a target of £58 ish or so per month  or £14.50 ish per week (based on 4 weekly month) extra work between now and dec... to reach target..

totally achievable .. totally realistic... easy to monitor.. easy to review and change if needed.

Good luck

Never had targets in my life - is it a modern sales speak thing or have I missed something?

This is the first year i have set targets and already i see myself looking around at neighbours houses and talking to passers by!
Trying to reel in more customers!

I honestly think with the determination i have this year i could hit my targets by the end of summer fingers crossed :)
