I've always used the same type of brush for every day work Viking 11 rectangular brush,which I have found suits me,but was wondering if another brush is better for every day use,also what is the difference between flagged and un flagged,all help appreciated

Flocked brushes have split ends at the terminal of a filament, they tend to scrub well but have more of a tendency to capture dirt in the brush. Unflocked have no split at the end of a filament and don't tend to hold as much dirt in the bristles.
It might be worth trying a Gardiners brush, medium mixed brush seems to do a tidy job and may be lighter than what you are now using.

ok thanks my brush has shorter bristles in middle of brush is that a flocked or I flocked brush

Here's a decent brush. Splash out ;D
Look at the ends of your brush filament, do they look splayed? If not, it's not flocked.

That is called a duel trim brush go to the post (have you cleaned your windows today ) there's a picture
of a flocked brush on it.

my brush is unflocked dual trim,the gardiner one looks the way to go.

The only difference is that mono make a noise on leaded windows, like ..bump,bump,bump and flocked don't ;D

Have been using the xtream brushes and they are hard to beat, but I find they don't last long enough.
So I'm now trying the super-lite duel trim medium mixed.
Its a bit heavier and I'm finding that you have to put a fair bit of pressure on it to get a good scrub.
Starting to feel it in the arms.
Anyone brave enough on here to recommend a good brush that is not one of Gardiners as finding a good
light brush that also lasts more than a few months is like trying to find the Holy Grail.
To be honest Colin if your happy with the brush your using then I would keep using it.

I must say I've got 5 different brushes and I love using my aerial always got one hooked up on my slx22 also like the gardiners extreme med mix for everyday cleans leaded windows and higher work

i just buy a new extreme brush every 4 months or so for regular window cleaning.

yes they are heavy in comparison to xtreme brushes but excellent scrubbing power and fast at cleaning, 3rd floor windows max to heavy above that...

Think I paid £31 for brush only and screwed on gardiners quick loc sockets to match the rest of my brushes, you don't need all the others bits that come with it.

Gardiners Xtreme medium mixed is the best brush for everyday use after 5 1/2 yrs of using Gardiners brushes i think this is the best brush of lot . Mike

Thats not too bad, the one i clicked on was £44 plus postage on top. Dont know if vat was included either.
