Lady's answer :
Can we do a trial with you? Will see what I think when you've cleaned them. Will obviously pay that time and then continue on if its ok?
Sorry if that sounds crap but I have been stung in the past by bogus window cleaners. xXx
I've answered.
I've calmed down now. ::)roll

hope you replied along lines of yes not a problem but we charge triple on the first clean and then WE will see how you work out as a reliable customer before we decide if we would like to continue .... hope you dont mind but we have been caught out previously by people who claim to be good customers. ;)

She's clever really, cause if you say no, she'll assume you're bogus.

I've been trying some facebook marketing recently and I'm beginning to think its a complete waste of time. Everyone seems to want a cheap cheap price.
I PM'ed one person just last night. She wanted her lounge, hall and stair cleaned, and asked if irn bru stains would come out.
I gave her an absolute fantastic price and she says "Thanks but i think i will try rug doctor first and google what takes irn bru stains out"
Good luck luv! I didn't reply..

From my facebook carpet page, I get about half the jobs that PM me or post on my wall. They pay standard prices. Even better with the window cleaning page. Most stuff on there comes from PM's. It's free advertising, so no loss. I get messers too, but we never move off the drive without a deposit on the carpet stuff mate.

All i have found is complete time wasters...they ask a price on there or ask you "to PM" them or "do you clean this area", i reply and hear nothing. Im sure they think it makes them look good in front of everyone else.
The ones i have actually been to have me once and asked for regular then cancel. Correct carpet dawg, they want the cheapest of the cheap. My verdict is...Facebook is not a good place for customers. Just my opinion tho.

Can't say I've had too many messers; a few obviously but I've also picked up a lot of work through other FB members writing glowing statuses about my work.
Obviously their friends read them as do friends of friends so there's an awful lot of "word of mouth" work out there.
I guess you just need to sieve through the rubbish.
