considering switching most people to this payment, trouble is i seem to find it hard to keep an eye on the small amount of people that already do it, and they seem to take there time about paying online too. how do you guys deal with it??

It shouldn't be hard to keep track of payments if you use online banking.
Get your customers to use the first line of their address as a reference also.
So when you check your statement it will show: 123 Happy Street £20 (example)
And you know who has paid you.
I then usually send the customer a txt or email to say their online payment has been received.
However I do need to switch more customers over to this method myself!

Wish i cleaned houses on happy street.
Would love writing that all day ;D

We have over half our money through BACS now, its much better!!
As above just get the custy to use the first line of their addy as ref, then all we do is on a Friday log onto online banking and work down the list ticking off on the work sheets whos paid, simples!!
All we do is leave a SAE, with NO stamp and a slip stapled to the back saying cleaned today, send chq for £xx.xx or pay via bacs to sort code xx-xx-xx acc number. Leaving no stamp sort of pushes towards making them pay via bacs, but as we all know there are still the idiots that owe come next clean!!!

a few people that pay bacs at the moment i seem to have to send them a text after a few weeks as they still havnt paid, think it maybe a good idea getting a seperate bank account for customer payments for ease.

Hi Paul
Sending a text which we have to do often is much much better than collecting.
Some people actually thank us for sending a text because they have forgotten to pay some ask me to text them when I have cleaned them no paperwork whatsoever just money in the bank. ;D ;D
