Well, with the cold snap starting intermitenly I invested in 3 pairs of these for the lads & me. Tried them for the 1st time on Saturday, frosty morning and worked well. The construction looks really strong and the -25c should be ample :)
I've tried everything over the years and must say, these do look to be the dog's, but time will tell.

Best gloves I've found are: http://www.safewearuk.com/moreinfo.asp?pid=410
I don't get them from here - shop around and you can find them cheaper. They are warm even when damp. I launder them every couple of days. I buy 10 pairs a year and they last me right through the winter. I just bin them when they start to fail (usually in the right palm where the pole wears a hole in the lining.
I've tried lots but these seem to be the best, at least for me.

I usually use sealskinz but feel they aren't hard wearing enough, so I'm trying these cycling gloves on Amazon.
Only had them a couple of weeks and found them to be decent quality. Have to wait though to see if they last the pace.
