Title: hiding your email address one for the mods?

I have tried to remove my email address from my profile and for the love of god i to wont do it, i assume i am doing some thing wrong, can some one advise please

why can i see it when i click on my name and if you look under my name theres a pic of an email etc

if i click on everyone's else name / profile its hidden

i click on mine its visible ?

am i missing something

dont start messing me around im nearly 95 and these things confuse me

Bobplum - what my fellow denizens of CIU are trying to explain is that although you can read your own email addy, no-one else can.

Do not feel bad about your luddite-ness - I too believed as you did to the point that I put in a mock-up email address. Then when DMSI was begging me to be a moderator by email, all his messages were being sent into thin air.

You may wish to think of it as a lucky escape ...

On mobile the upload part is blank for me...

If you want to hid your e-mail from even yourself, Bob, put a bit of tape over where your address appears.
It does work and stops you sending yourself needless e-mails.
Now we need to work on you posting needless posts  ;D.
