Title: ThermoboreBore hose
Post by: dannymack on November 10, 2013, 03:36:50 pm
Just put brand new hose on but the water don't seem to come out as fast as my 8mm hose. These ThermoboreBore are only 6mm and I find the flow slower, also my pump don't sound right with the thermo. Every time I adjust the gas and water flow the bloody gas goes out on the hot wash. I don't have my water that hot really only to keep the hoses soft from freezing. I'm sticking to my 8mm hose don't have no probs with the flow and heater so anyone wanna buy the thermo for £35, I'm in Essex if you wanna pick up or I may be in your area as I go to Cambridge, east south, north London, Felixstowe let me know
Cheers

normal Danny, with a 6mm hose you get a slower flow.

I've just been in Gardiners site Ben and seen the thermo red one with the 8mm ID which I'm using now, I've ordered it should be the same flow as what I'm using

My hot only worked when I changed to the gardiners 6mm , that's what I'd buy

Kempy I've been using thermo for the last 3 years seemed ok, last year the hose bubbled and I don't have it that hot so Alex sent me a new one which has been in the garage since summer as only use hot in winter. I've ordered the new 8mm thermo red hose so should work well

I only use cold but when I switched from 8 to 6 I had the same problem with flow and pump
I recalibrated it and it has ran fine ever since

Scott what do you mean by recalibrated ?
I've bought the 8 mm ID so should run ok. Yeah strange that with the pump going like that never done that before. Prob wasn't get enough flow going thru it. I'm not one to use red hot water as its a worry incase you crak windows so only use warm water to stop hoses from freezing. I've bought the new thermo pure hose red one because it will hold heat in for longer than the normal yellow 8mm hose I'm using, will swap them back when weather gets warmer next year.  I don't mind the frost and snow as We can work thru it all with the hot wash

When you change hose sizes and sometimes when weather is cold the pressures in your system all change
There is a programme on the controller that recalibrates it so that you get the correct flow

Chaps I don't use a controller !!! I like a fast flow of water, funny the faster the water comes out the quicker I work and the cleaner the windows come out. I'm not on a water metre at mo touch wood it stays that way so not bothered about amount of water I use.
