Title: Texting the night before - who do you use to send texts
Post by: davids3511 on November 06, 2013, 09:22:26 pm
I was using the o2 service where I have 100 free texts every month from their website but that is closed down now. I don't want to use my phone because that's a pain, its much easier online.

I am afraid that if I start using one of these online services my customers numbers will be added to some list somewhere and they will start getting spammed. Who do you use and is it any good?

Have you got a half decent phone?
I do it on iPhone, takes moments to do...

I do have a good phone but just don't like doing it that way. I have all the numbers in day by day order and could just copy and paste them en masse into the o2 site and bingo, all done. That's what I want to keep doing but obviously not with O2.

i just use my HTC!unlimited texts,1 GB of data and 500 free mins to any network at any time.£20 a month.

keep it simple! ;D

i only text the odd few customers for access or a text reminder when window cleaning bill is outstanding.oh and email a few and get customer emails back esp commercial.

and i actually phone them up sometimes and speak to em!! ;) :)

all customers phone numbers are stored in my phone and backed up in pen and paper form in a phone book!

it pays to keep organised!! ;) ;D ;D

text-local, based in Chester, no spamming.
Starts off at £4.99 per 100 texts, no contract gets cheaper if you buy more in the bundle
The platform they use looks good

I use it because of two reasons
1) terrible signal were i live some texts dont make it
2) since the ISO7 upgrade on the iPhone i feel the phone is slow and i am having trouble with certain functions

Forgot to mention its actually a EMAIL- TO TEXT service, so just type away and then the customer receives a text, you can have it so they cant reply or they can reply

Cheers to all that replied. I've been using mighty text now for 6 weeks and it is working fine. I have had no problems with it and you can see on your phone what was sent. Its a neat solution, I didn't think a PC could make your phone send texts like that but it can.

iPhone.
Save regular Txt as a template in NOTES.
List all my customers in Groups (each group being a particular round on Aworka..)

Simply Copy required message from NOTES, paste it into a new message. Send it to all the people in the group/ round that is due the next day..

2 minutes   - DONE..

Text Marketer - costs less than Text Local at only 3.7p per text, can create a database and can schedule the texts for a time when you don't even need to be at the PC
20 text messages takes less than a minute !
