I was attacked by wasps this morning, stung 6 times would have been more but managed to kill a few, still in pain

Know how that feels >:( Was cutting my hedge a couple of months back, and disturbed the little barstewards nest in there. Only one managed to sting me though. Was only a small nest, so about 20 or so wasps came after me!!
Fastest 30 metre dash I ever did to the back door! 8) Spent 30 minutes murdering them with fly spray. What fun ;D

I used to hate wasps with a passion.
Then I watched this documentary about them. It turns out they are very good predators and feed on these HORRIBLE little mites that are just gross. It turns out that if it were't for the humble wasp, we would be overrun with these terrible little mite things, and believe me they were HORRIBLE!
So now I have a new tolerance for wasps, and just give them a respectfully wide berth, but don't kill or harm them!

I have only once (in 41 years!) been stung by a wasp. I used to be a busdriver and whilst doing a run on a nice sunny day, a wasp flew in through my open window and managed to get inside my shirt. Not nice at all, I wanted to scream and do an emergency stop, but fortunately for my passengers I managed to hold it together till I got to the bus station. I can still remember the feeling of the wasp crawling about under my shirt! :(
