Post by: Majestic on February 13, 2004, 12:46:12 am
I posted this on the General Cleaning site but in over 5 hours I have had 2 replys  and one of them was from Silly Silly .
I have been asked to clean the communal area of a block of flats the trouble is that the vinyl floor covering has bike skid marks on it , how can I remove them

LOL, same here.

You'll have to experiment John.
Try some acetone, and wash off quickly with water. Do a small patch first & if it works go for it. I'd recommend 2 squeegee floor mops, one with acetone, the other with water, just so your not on your hands & knees. Watch which floormops you use - the acetone will disintegrate a modern synthetic.
