Title: Handheld agitator
Post by: maxcampbell on April 07, 2013, 11:25:55 pm
Something like a polisher, but driving a brush or nylon pad. And running slow enough. To use on upholstery and encapping steps and other small areas of carpet. What do you use?

I use various handheld brushes, although I believe the Texatherm Minitex is pretty good if you're looking for mechanical.

I would consider one if I did loads more furniture.

They are dead handy Rich, as you can see from the video you get better more thorough results...  in fact i have proved that if you apply just enough pre spray and spend longer agitating... the extraction stage is a lot quicker and you use less water!
Being an orbital machine reduces the risks of friction burns and damage to the fabric...

I found the kestrel a great tool mate, wish i kept it now.

Just sorted out a new spotting machine, Prochem bravo plus to replace my Aquarius pro valet machine...Getting it with the carpet wand plus the added hand tool plus 2 hose`s..

Ok... there are only several places to get the brush heads..

Mention me if you call Carsmetic...

The white brushes are ONLY good for tile and grout, the blue ones are great on car interiors and durable upholstery, the soft grey ones are a little like a tampico or horse hair brush so use them on house hold fabrics.

Expensive for what they are...£42 + VAT + postage.
I got 2 from the USA and even with the import tax
and postage it only came to a total of about £32.

Hi Russ

Yes i try it out on Saturday at my local supplier

It was sent down from Prochem (brand new in the box) to try...Just had the carpet wand, as it would be if you was buying the bravo plus.

Worked very good for a small compact machine..Now the suppliers has a nice clean patch  ;D

Give me a call for price

HI, I use my Airdex without foam for cloth upholstery (with foam for leather) and encapping stairs. It saves a lot of work. First, I use it to dry vacuum then pre-spray, next I agitate with the Airdex and finally rinse with a CFR tool. I saw one for sale on here last week. David
