Title: Batteries / sponsors section don't work
Post by: PAUL ERITH on March 09, 2013, 09:54:24 am
I have a pureefreedom Digital Pump Controller but the batt sign keep coming up the pump is run off the van battery so i know that i need another battery closer to the pump but i have a crew cab van space is at a premium.

Whats the smallest battery i can use and where can i buy one from the reason for wanting a small one is i have a crew van?

Does this company have any batteries that will do the job http://www.alpha-batteries.co.uk/

Thanks Paul

Sounds like the controller is detecting low battery amps.
This could be due to the battery being in poor condition/or also not doing enough mileage to re-charge the battery suffiently from the alternator when driving between jobs.
If you do low mileage between jobs a seperate leisure battery might be a better solution.
Alternatively if you do a reasonable mileage it could be your van battery is not holding a charge from the alternator and you will be better off buying a new one.
If it was me I would first remove the van battery and give it a bench charge with a battery charger and then check with a voltmeter and see how it performs.
You should know then what course of action to take.
