I have been known to price up the odd commercial contract in my time, and I always tell the customer that we are not the cheapest but we will give them a great service.
Always works well for me I usually get 50% of what I look at

haha i cant stop laughing at the 'what race are you' post.  its feels a bit like if youre on a date with some one and its going really badly, and youre just desperately plucking questions out the air to fill the silence

Hi Knocker,

sounds same as what i tell potential customers.

Sounds like we possibly have the same high standards, anychance we could chat and see if we have similar goals in business ?

Thanks  ;)

When quoting i tell them how much and how often and payment within 28 days!
I also say i will do them now as that way they don't get anymore quotes and you get a instant decision!

what good questions are there ask and how to ask them

The most important question when walking into the building:
"I'd like to offer your company a quote for cleaning - Who is the person I should be talking to about it?" - - - so many people loose out simply because they don't talk directly to the person that makes the decisions.

The 2nd most important question is "Who do I send the invoice to?". NOT "WHERE do I send the invoice?", ALWAYS get a name - a real person to deal with,.. it makes sorting out any issues much easier.  ;)
