Got a 60ft but 80ft is a bloody hand full. Tried the swift 80ft monster pole. We were not comfortable with a pole at that height.

Yes me 88ft
How do you get on with it Dave?
We thought it was a two man operation one to walk with the operator and obviously the operator.
We would be interested in your comments.

Is 70 plus doadbe under normal conditions. Regurlaly. Use the SL2 to 60 plus but need the extra 10 feet for a few jobs.

I thought this would generate way more replies than it has.

Every company is now selling poles to 80 ft plus.

How many people are using at 70 and above.

We struggle with the SL2 on many buildings with it being a little to short but really looking to be able to add about another 10 to 15 feet comfortably.

Just need to know about flexability and use in the wind in the real world.

if the weather on the day is as still as a mill pond then 60 foot is ok.  i have tried testing above that but the pole bends too much and then the brush comes away from the glass.

The SL2 at full height is workable to about 20 but we are on the coast
On Vancouver Island in Canada and sometimes the wind will pick up as
The sun warms the land in the summer afternoons.
I need to be able to work regardless of the regular winds.
I heard the extreme was much better than the sl2
Only worth changing if there will be a marked improvement
Any thoughts?

I only use the xtreme to 65 ft and it scares the hell out of me on a calm day. I have had it up in winds about 15 mph and quickly brought it back down I am confident if I was on a flat glazed front I would have lost control but fortunately I had the brush in deep recessed windows

IMO neither the xtreme or sl2 can safely be used in any wind above 50ft.

The SL2 at full height is not too bad but another section changes
The pole completely.  I have a few jobs that need 12 sections and
Was hoping the extreme would be way easier to Use at that height.
Now I'm totaly undecided. The work needs to be done when it's
Booked. Not when the weather allows.
Looks like another year on the sl2.

I had the SL2 & have now got the Xtreme. Both been used at 50+ foot. The Xtreme is not easier to use at these heights IMO, they are very similar though. The biggest benefit of the Xtreme over the SL2 is it's extra usability & it being much more robust. It's no better in use at silly heights over an SL2 but it's of much more "all-round" use in other areas.

If your main concern is only these jobs at such height then I would stick with the SL2 for now at least, maybe invest in an Xtreme when the SL2 breaks or wears out.

If you want to use this pole also for work say- 40 to 50ft regularly, then an Xtreme will be of much more use to you. No setting up with carry bags, external hose etc, telescopic, don't have to be super-careful etc etc.

Hope that helps. ;)

Same for me. Funny thing with the Xtreme after an S2 is ......... the first time you use it you will be quite disappointed. It's heavier and more flexible (slightly) and you'll wish you never  changed and spent the money. Second time you use it you'll realise how versatile it is, how much quicker it is and how easy it is to use. Then the S2 then seems a little outdated.

Same. Very versatile. Still kind of wish I could have kept the SL2 though, but really had to sell it to fund some extension sections on the Xtreme and to buy one or two other things.
