Title: A months holiday
Post by: Franky2020 on September 09, 2012, 09:57:16 pm
Im going away for a month at beginning of november and just wondered if you guys had an extended break before and how it might affect my business and whether its best to give out a letter to say there will be a delay in next window clean.

Yeah, I did it last August........
I had a young man who did his best for me.   All my customers knew I was going away.
And it cost me a bit but didn't loose me any work...........
Woo was it good....felt like we were retired.........Then.........
September was a nightmare.........the bubble burst and back at it.

Would I do it again?????

You bet I would  :D :D

Next Year is 25th Wedding Anneversary (no idea how to spell it ;D)
So Safari and beech for 2 week then 2 weeks back in Greece

A lot of bloody hard work before then though

David

So long as you let your custys know then it should be fine. If anyone isnt too happy see if you can get someone to do there windows while your away.

My mum is off on holiday for a year with my step dad.

I asked her....where you going to go mum. Her reply was this....

We have bought 40 international flights and will see when we get to the airport

im also planning on going to australia and new zealand as well as other places over the next few years for a month at a time.im sure my customers will understand esp if its during the winter months which is when ill be going!! 8) 8) 8).

i have took plenty of week and 2 weeks breaks over the years so another 2 weeks wont be noticed that much.i do tell customers a month or two before hand that ill be late.they understand that even window cleaners need a break!

as for customers thinking we have too much money its none of their business!i have no kids!!dont drink or smoke cigarettes and work hard to afford these breaks!

quite a few of my customers are filthy rich so they dont even bat an eyelid!! ;) ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

regards

Really? Its dirt cheap to go abroad for holiday. Only holidaying in the UK is expensive!

Never heard of buying that number of international flights. That must have cost a bit.

If you are a one man set up I would mention it to the customers that you are in face to face contact with and keep quiet with the rest.

Have a good break,

Dean.
