Hi all.
Duncan here, new starter Isle of Wight.
Been watching Wagga's great video's on youtube and learned a lot..Thanks Wagga ;)
I figure my best way to start is with backpack and pole for upstairs and trad. for down..(I figure on taking on the houses other wc's don't want because of poor access to back/need to go through house, customer needs to be home, etc)
Not sure however why, if you are brushing and squeegeing upstairs properly, you need pure water..?
How come you can get away with non pure water downstairs..Is it because you can more effectively wipe with scrim cloth?
Many thanks in advance for any comments.

i think your a little confused if your using wfp for tops then u dont squeegee em off just leave em to dry so yes u need pure water however if your tradding the tops you dont need a back pack just a long pole with mop / squeegee on HOWEVER this is a skill that takes a long time to master ... im 2 1/2 years in and would not even think about using a pole with mop / squeegee on the upstairs as the end result would be crap.
If you can afford it get back pack for tops with a way of making pure and trad botoms.
If you have lots of dosh get vanmount and be done with ;D

Oh yes, that makes sense...Thanks Ian for enlightening me..
Think I will do as you suggest..
How do you do insides? I am thinking water is messy so perhaps spray on window cleaner and wipe?
Thanks

Dunc,
If you fancy a day out in Southampton with me, just give me a shout. Should be able to give you some pointers and save you a bit of learning time.

Hi Duncan
Inside I use a bucket on a belt and use a small dust sheet. Customers like it as shows you respect their property. You mix fairy in a bucket with water dip in your applicator then straight in to your bucket on a belt. Will give you enough water to do insides and not too much in case of an accident !
Oh and all ways remove your shoes ! Good luck

yep WFP on insides not too popular with the customers ;)
seriously though just a damp applicator and squeegee will be fine unless little windows then spray bottle with big blue microfibre is way to go on them.
personally I dont do insides as can be a pain in a ss
