Title: Safety harnesses and fixings
Post by: stevekennedy on January 21, 2004, 12:15:25 am
Hi Everyone

Wondered if anyone has experience of working with harnesses? ALso where to get the fixings and how to install/test them. Have a couple of jobs where I have to climb out of the window and hang on to the frame. They're not that high (just high enough to break your neck  :D), but there is no access at the back of the building.

Any help would be appreciated

Thanks Majestic

I'll give them a try. Were the fittings that you hook onto already there? The building I'm working on doesn't have any. Was hoping to supply the fittings for them. It's a bit of a charity job if you know what I mean  ;)

Steve, be careful about those fixings, I think they need to be installed by a HSE registered installer and given annual safety certification.

That's only what I've heard though, perhaps someone else knows more?
