Have a static system and the cut off system is a very straight forward over flow pipe to the drain.....I run a 2000litre static tank and make water once a week so no big issues there.

Every day I turn the pump on and fill my van tank and again that has a overflow pipe.

No need for anything more complicated.

Cheers
Dave.

Cant see the point using an overflow pipe as you would be flushing away pure water for no reason ??????

I know how long it takes to fill my tanks they all have sight lines and have litre markers so I have a very rough idea how long they take to fill in both summer and winter...the overflow lines run into a reserve tank that I use for water my plants and for another window cleaner that I supply water to...

It's all about understanding your system and how it performs.

Try Varitech for 12v or 240v soleniod cut-offs.

Cheers
Dave.

This is my solution: Standard ball cock, fittings from local hydraulic specialists, total about £25 and I don't have to rely on a poxy little float switch, transformer or solenoid valve.

The two odd bits are the bits I had to discard.

Water goes through this on the way to my booster pump.  You can't use it without a booster as it reduces water pressure by about 10psi.
