Personally speaking from experience, unless you know what your doing, i wouldnt bother. Takes too long, messy and its a hard job and unless your price well youll be kicking yourself.
I priced a walkway once at front of bungalow round to back which i thought would take about a hour...took 5 hours and id only said £50.
Others might tell you other wise but i wouldnt bother. I had a good pressure washer and sold it few months ago as was doing my head in.
Window cleaning...pull up, clean window gone.
Pressure washing, pull up clean for ages, start getting ticked off with it. Tidy up the mess, get covered in crap etc etc

No offence mate but that is totaly the wrong advice, we offer pressure washing as one of our services and it is by a clear mile the highest earner per hour for us!
We got our kit from jet wash direct total cost was around £3000 and it is worth geting the proper kit for this otherwise it is a messy slow job, but as with anything else the proper tool for the job makes all the difference.
then you need to price right. set a minimum price, ours it now £100. We charge £4 a square meter for block paving as it needs to be re-sanded and £3 a square meter for everything else. during the summer I do drives and patios week in week out that easily generate double what you would cleaning windows all day, plus you have a saving at the same time by not driving round all day, true it can be a messy job, but i find the kit is fun to use, gives and incredible result that the customer is ALWAYS happy with and I can do £500-£600 pound drives in an 8 hour day!

I have a petrol cobra with 13hp honda engine, 15l per min. mosmatic stainless 21inch rota cleaner, adjustable high-low pressure lance, dirt blaster lance (my favourite toy) 10 and 20 meter lengths of hose and 125litre water feeder tank, my kit is the dogs! and I really dont know what these guys are talking about mate, the only thing you need to be carefull with is crumbling pointing on patios. Ive been jet washing with this kit for 3 years and have never come accross the problems being talked about on here, I have never had a single complaint from a customer about any jetwashing we have done ever. the only thing I come across is loads of money ;D ;D. when doing block pave drives you need a warm sunny day so it is bone dry before re-sanding the joints, for this you need a trip to jewson for some kiln dried sand. sanding can be a bit of a skill to get it right and even, I would surgest you drop me an email with you number to talk about the do's and donts before you get started.

Have you thought about hiring a petrol washer,we use to when I did building work,Its a horrible job the lance gives you white finger after a holding a while you get soaked and if you get it wrong could cost you to put it right,But dont get put off do a few friends and see how you get on.wear waterproofs and wellies ;)

I go for £50 an hour, you cant go too far wrong then, ive never measured an area and based it on that. just guessed how long it would take and gone from there, not the best way i know, but its been fine so far, only the first job i did i underpriced (£40) took me 2 hrs! but you learn from your mistakes.
