Hi i am looking into starting up carpet cleaning business, I would like your thoughts on whether it would be feasible to hire out the equipment to start off with for domestic work and if so are do you know of any hire companies in the west Midland area. Your help with this would be much appreciated.

I have not seen anything in hire shops that remotely looked like a pro machine. Rug Doctors yes, but they not pro machines.

HSS hire out pro looking machines but they are £45 a day.
Buy a sensible 2nd hand one of ebay for £400 is my advice.

Anyone had much experience renting them out themselves. I appreciate there are difficulties insurance wise but I'd welcome any serious business advice as to this area.

Hire one from your local Janitorial supplier is my advice.
Done if few times when our machine has gone down but it takes most of the profit out of the job

Hey Guys,
When I first started out I was hiring a steempro. It cost £25 + vat a day. It was handy at the time but it does put the pressure on to get work. (Also think I was getting a good deal)
