Was doing a full house clean today when the wheelybusters bin cleaner turned up.
"you must be raking it in" he starts off with.
" whys that then?" asks me.
"cos I was speaking to one of your mates yesterday and he'd cleaned 50 houses!!"
me; "was he on his own or with a team?
" NO - on his own"
Now - I'm waterfed pole and been doing it for two and a half years so know enough to smell bullpoop when its about but if window cleaners keep bullpoopting about their earnings its no wonder everyone thinks its easy money and wants to set up!!
-
Its not bull.
I did 75 houses today with a broken pole and 3 ltrs of water.
Off to the pub now.

compitition is good. it keeps you hungry. besides its not like theres not enought windows to go round!
-
theres lots of windows around its geting them that wants em cleaned and are willing to pay ;)
-
its like with plumbers and sparks, they all start thinking they will earn 100k a year, 6 months later jack it in after undercutting everyone and not making any money
-
WHAT DID THE bin cleaner charge for the bin 8)

Fishermen's tales and window cleaner's tales, all the same and generally down the pub.

Well theres going to be more and more competition in window cleaning as now WFP provides a service for the people who dont like climbing ladders so they can use this "wfp" thing and slap dash around the house..
Plus wfp systems getting cheaper and cheaper by the month these days diy etc
