Insurance gone mad!

Posted by Happyeater (Happyeater), 12 September 2003
I've just split a business t/o around £750,000 per annum, in half. Last year we paid £1500 in insurance costs (10m and 5m employers/public liability), had no claims and this year (for half the turnover) I'm getting a £3000 cheapest quote. This is for a lower liability too (10m and 2m).

Insurance is going crazy.

Is everyone else in the same boat?

I looked for public liability quotes for my car cleaning business from about 15 different brokers, 2 of which actually called me back and only 1 gave me a quote!!
£3860.00 p.a.
When I opened my business account with the NatWest bank they got their insurance department to quote me.
£326.00 p.a @ £31.37 pm.
