Fire Retardent Certificates?Posted by Dave_Parry (Dave Parry), 31 October 2003
Just cleaned a load of curtains in a village hall, and fire retarded them.
Been asked for a certificate to show the insurance company to state that the fire retardent has been applied. Not sure if a letter saying this is sufficient, any body done one, got a copy I could use? Posted by Dynafoam (Dynafoam), 31 October 2003
Dave,
I have never been asked for one but have you appoached the product manufacturer?
They may have something of use.

Hi Guys
To the best of my knowledge you will NOT get any such certificate from a supplier.
The only resort open to you is to send them a letter to the effect that you have "treated the curtains with brand 'x' product according to the manufacturers instructions"
Together with the letter send a copy of the manufacturers technical data sheets.
I hope this helps
Derek
