Hi,
If you take a look at page 3 of the Ultimate Master topic,
you will see that two of my posts end with "I dissagreeumption", whereas they should read "my assumption"
(In case it goes wrong again : m_y a_s_s_u_m_t_i_o_n)
Surely the software shuold allow us to assume?

It went wrong again - you try it

John
Whenever I type example a letter or a reply post it’s done in ms word. I then run spell checker/thesaurus and then cut & paste as required, & hope fully the recipient and I understand, take care on you wording my assumtion spelt incorrectly assumption
Assumptions/assume only make fools of you and I, and sadly is not the fact although you believe so, example I don’t believe this forum has a spell checker/ thesaurus oh yes it has that made a prate of me!

As a CRAP SPELLER BUT VERY BRIGHT
I have not found spell checker on this Forum.
When I kast asked it was suggested I cut a paste.
But i think these Forums should be spontaneous and free flowing.
Not edited and considered.
And if you say somthing that is wrong so be it as it starts a debate.
But where is spell checker.Posted by Dynafoam (Dynafoam), 15 February 2004
Ian,
There is no built-in spell checker on the forum and I agree that in the interests of spontaniety we can cope with the odd miss-spelt word.
What started this is that can post the words "my" and "assumption" but if I put the two together the forum software changes them both.
Try It!

Hi John
It looks like 'my ass' gets replaced with 'I dissagree'!!
Unfortunately, there isn't a spell checker available and the 'restricted words' option does occasionally throw up some unexpected problems.
One assumes there isn't much that can be done to get around it unfortunately
Will look into it though!
Regards

Funny or what! I hope nobody here is from that Humberside town about 25 miles west of Grimsby (old joke I know)
